Join Ted & Kelly Stiglich of Peoples Yoga & Aerial Fitness, LLC along with Casey Chamberlain at the Open Space in downtown Traverse City for a beautiful gentle yoga practice - free of charge! Gentle Yoga allows you to focus the mind on your intention and to awaken that intention within the body. We will move slowly, allowing time to feel the breath moving in the body. The 60-minute outdoor class will include meditation, breath work, chanting, and silence. Come feel the connection with your mind, body, and spirit in a communal setting along the beautiful shoreline of Lake Michigan.
What you'll need: A mat, rug, towel, or blanket. (It is nice to put a blanket under your mat to avoid disruption from the grass). Comfortable clothing (dress for weather).
What you don't need - A flexible, injury-free body. Injuries, tight muscles, or weaknesses are not obstacles for this class. Each “limitation” is an opportunity for you to grow, to gently and methodically heal yourself and learn patience, and perhaps to inspire others to begin their own gentle practice. Let go of the picture of the pose and tap into how it feels!
