”The HumanKIND Club was created in the 2021-2022 academic year by a group of students at Suttons Bay Public Schools. The purpose of the HumanKIND Club is to create a safe environment and socializing opportunities for LGBTQ+ students and their allies. In conjunction with weekly gatherings, we hope to create awareness about LGBTQ+ history and vocabulary as well as provide educational events and experiences to Leelanau County's schools' students and staff, as well as local community members.”

HumanKIND, with support from LIFT and Friendship Community Center, are having a Pride filled week June 13th-17th that will end with a Pride PROM! These events are all free to attend for youth and donations to Lift (Leelanau Investing For teens) and HumanKIND are welcome!
